I'm a couple hours away from trying my first cask conditioned ale. I'm about as giddy as a school girl right now. Empyrean ales as part of their Beers Gone Wild program has there scottish ale on cask and a newcomer an imperial stout on cask. Tasting is from 6-8 PM tonight. I'm taking my growler in hopes of taking some home as well!

For anybody nearby that would have thought about going I apologize that I wasn't able to get this post up any earlier. I have been quite busy lately and have had very little time to check the board or post.:(

Enjoy! I love beer on cask. Preferrably a nice mild.

Cask beer is great! The new Phoenix Imperial Stout was delicouse and from what I heard will be a regular brew very soon for Empyrean. Burning Skye (Scottish Ale) was much more drinkable as a cask compared to the bottle or tap version. I was there to have a good time so I didn't take any notes, but would highly recommend to anybody that might be passing through the area.

I, myself was just enjoying a Crop Circle (Blue Point Brewing Co.) on cask about an hour ago and what a treat. I can hardly wait for thier real ale fest. Something about cask condition, just changes the property of the beer....I love it.

Not to cause any arguements on the subject again but cask ales are, in most cases, the best way to enjoy beer. IMHO :D
