Avatar Help

Been trying to get a custom Avator from my computer. Keeps telling me image is to large. :(

How do I make image smaller?

What software do you have? In Photoshop I save my avatars as JPEGs and play with the image-quality save option until it's about 60 KB (usually very low quality). The avatars should also measure 70 pixels by 70 pixels to fit the format.

Any other suggestions?

microsoft photo editor also does the same thing, resize your pic, and one of the options is by pixels, so you can see when you're below the 70x70 max size...

If you are running Windows XP you can download (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx) XP Power tools. Once installed you can save any image, right click -->resize pictures --> advnced options --> custom size and enter the dimensions.

If you are not running XP go to Mihov's image resizer (http://www.imageresizer.com/) and download it. It is one of the best freeware resizers out there IMHO. It will also convert images from one format to another easily.

If you want to have it done online, this site is simple and takes up no RAM...just place a jpg in and use the % reduce button...

The thing with shrinking images is that I still look fat. :eek:

I am getting worried. I saw a special on anorexia. Seems when an anorexic looks in the mirror they see themselves as fat. When I look in the mirror, all I see is fat. Does that mean I'm an anorexic?

Better explain that. I was asking this woman for her number in a bar the other night. She said she was not interested. I asked why not. She said " I am a Lesbian. looks like Bell's amber... I haven't tried the amber, but I've had several other Bell's products, have yet to have a bad one...

Danno got it right it is the label for Bell's Amber Ale. One of my favorites and have made several trades with this beer.

Can we get a larger pixel number to deal with? I feel that for a worthy avatar that isn't compromised we need a bigger number to deal with.
