Nice. Sounds like it'll be a great time. It'd be a long commute from California, though. :D

I am wondering if it is time for me to visit my father again. I could kill two birds with one stone with a trip down to LI.

I was talking to Mark (brewmaster from BluePoint) and there is no cover but it'll be $2 a half pint, that will be provided for you, and there should be between 20-30 ales. I was at a holiday party and had inbibed a few aged Old Howling Bastards, so don't hold me directly to this but it's close.;)

Glad to see Long Island's brewers cooperating -- but man that's a short list for two million people! I am a big fan of all five, though--was out at Southampton before Christmas and Black Forest for Octoberfest!
Should be a great event!

Okay, there has been just a slight, but better change. Admission is $10 - that gets you a pint glass with 6 tickets for 6 half brews, after that it is $2 half brews. Just in case any one is thinking of coming.
We are expecting some kind of Noreaster on Sat into Sun, maybe we'll be snowed in the brewery. :D

I just read a rumor on BA that Southampton isn't going to be there. That would suck.

REALLY? I am going to call to find out. That would suck, beacause I am really looking forward to the Secret Ale cask style. Where on BA did you see it?

If I didn't have a 5 week old at home I'd be there at the drop of a hat.

Secret Ale is my favorite Long Island brew, but it's gotta be on tap! I'm afraid the bottles I've tasted of it don't do it justice.

I completely agree! I was only drinking it on tap and when I saw it in the six pack I was pysched. Got it home, drank it slightly cooler than room temp and was disappointed. Now it wasn't horrible but it didn't taste exactly the same as it does on tap and didn't leave that real hardy taste in my mouth when I was done. On tap it has a real great finish. I hope they have it at the Fest. You going?
