The moment is finally upon us. We will be flying out for Russia Christmas Day afternoon for Russia. We have a one year old boy waiting there for us.I'm sure he doesn't realize it though being 1 and all.We hope to be back in a week or so, but sometimes it can take longer than that and we will be hitting the Russian holidays in early January.Worst case scenario, we'll be back mid- January.

We were there 2 1/2 months ago and I gotta say I was not real impressed with their beer. Kinda pilnerish and not real exciting. But that's not what I'm there for, I guess. The best beer I found in Russia was a stout called Guinness, ever heard of it (insert laugh track here)? If I have to drink Guinness for 3 weeks I'll survive. I have a whole case of homebrew Russian Imperial Stout waiting when I get home. It'll be time to celebrate for sure.

That is awesome, man!

Not about the beer of course, lol.

What a great Christmas gift!

Now you'll be able to pass down the brewing tradition.

Yeah, when those full brew kettles and carboys get too heavy it'll be nice to have strapping young man to give the old man a hand.

My wife got an e-mail a couple of days ago with attachments of ice sculptures from Russia.

It really was one of the most incredible sites I've seen.

Maybe it's something to check into if it's nearby...
