Hello,

Here are some pics of my bar with it's new stainless steel draft tower! The CO2 tank is under the sink and the compact frig holds a 3 gallon corny keg.

I will be cooling the beer line with a pump and water. The water will be in a holding tank in the frig. The pump will be arriving shortly and is not in the picture.

Oh man, I love that set up. It is super sweet. I am in the middle of doing a cottage we have in our backyard over into a bar. We got the place painted and decorated but yet to put the bar top or kegerator(?)in. I can't wait. Good luck to ya.

Oh man, am I jealous. As I said elsewhere, we are turning our dining room into a pub, but I have a feeling it's going to be a bit more, well, hillbilly than that. :D

Joe, how'd you do the faux (I'm assuming) rock front? that's really cool... the whole setup is quite impressive...

Thanks for compliments on the bar :D

The bar came with the house, minus the draft tower and faux/cultured stone. There's a firepace to the right of the bar which already had the faux stone on it, so I figured I'd put it over the panelling which was orignally on the front of the bar.

Here's how I attached the stone to the bar:
1. Staple tar-paper over the front of the bar (or anywhere you want cultrued stone).
2. On top of the tar paper, staple metal lattice/screen.
3. Put a layer of morter onto the lattice and let dry over night.
4. Mix some morter up (a little on the wet side) and put the stone on.
5. Place some morter in a grout bag and grout the joints, then come back and smooth the joints out with your finger.

I'm no mason, but this project was pretty straight forward. All the items were bought at Menards (Lowes and Home Depot also have the stuff). The hardest part at first was gettingte right consistency of the morter. Also, I laid the stone out on the floor, prior to mortering in order to get the proper spacing. A mason/friend of mine also suggested placing a "ring" of morter on the back of the stones, instead of just "buttering" them prior to placement. This creates a suction and helped the stone stick to the bar until it set-up and hardened.

When the tower is finished, it'll be cooled with water. I plan on putting a fountain pump in a corny filled with water. I'll then route the cooling line arounf the beer line and up into the tower and then back into the "cooling corny" in the frig. All the lines will be wrapped in foam insulation when they exit the refrigerator.

Thanks again guys!
Joe

I'm so ashamed, there's nothing in the humidor :(

I'm a part time cigar smoker, usually on special occassions, but, at one time I had 4 cubans (Cohiba's)

Merry X-Mas!

Nothing to be ashamed of, that's a nice humidor.

I've asked for one for Christmas (Right now I use a large tupperware with a small plastic cup with a moist cottonball in it).

I'm also just a part time smoker, but I"m always nosey about what other people are smoking. I've never had a cuban, but I've had an itallian that was very good. I also have a small tin of cigarellos from Mexico that are liquer dipped. I save those for rare occations.
