750ml, "bottled on" date - 24Aug2004
not so much of an official detailed tasting, because we had it with dinner - my veggie chili (that got criticized in another thread.. ahem!). i didn't take notes, just some general impressions:
a nice copper color with a small fizzy head. lots of those complex belgian-style flavors: bananas, bubblegum, light cloves, pears, etc. crisp and dry, yet still sweet. a very good compliment to a mildly spicy chili!!
at 12%ABV, i'm glad i had someone to help me drink it! bottle says it could be aged up to 5 years... i'll have to pick up a couple more for the cellar!
