How can I purchase McGowan 10% Beer from Edinburough Scotland.

I lost lost a college football bet and the wager was 'beer of choice.' Please sugget ways of obtaining McGowan Beer from Edinburough Scotland. I believe its on Rose street. Are there any importers here in the U.S. that may be able to procure this for me?

you may be out of luck. I checked both the Oxford Bottled Beer Database (http://www.bottledbeer.co.uk/) and Beer Advocate (http://www.beeradvocate.com), two very comprehensive sites for beers, and neither has McGowan listed...

You sure about the name? I found a listing for McCowan on BA:

Or there is McEwan (Scottish & Newcastle), also from Edinburgh.

I was in a small brewery on Rose Street in October of 1989. It was the Rose Street Brewery. I wonder if it has become McCowans. Welcome to the board Flydoc1.
