I'm traveling to Akron within the week and was wondering
if anyone had any reccomendations for a place to get some
good beers in the Akron area.

Akron, Colorado, doesn't have ANY good beer. I speak from experience. Oh, you meant OHIO, didn't you? Hmmm...

...maybe this (http://www.beeradvocate.com/beerfly/list?path=%2Fbeerfly%2Flist&sort=name&name=&city=akron&s_id=OH&c_id=&zip=&area=&submit=+search+) will help you out. Best of luck!

This may be a bit late, but here it goes.

For great bottled beer and good deli sammiches, go to Primos Deli near the Rolling Papers, er Arces mall at the top of hill on Romig Rd. Great selections that changed frequently. They are expanding their tap list as well.

There are several Winking Lizard Taverns in the area. Pennisula, Belden Village, Summit mall to name a few. Great wings and expansive bottled and tap selections. Over 200 I believe.

Thirsty Dog out in Montrose. Decent craft beer, so-so food.
Burkhardt's moved out a couple of years ago. And the Thirsty Dog @ Belden was recently razed.

The Acme-Click chain of grocery stores has a great selection of beers. Caffienehog, here is a big fan of them, as well as me.

Sorry if I came along later in the 4th qtr., but maybe others can use this as guide in the future.
