Hi there all, I'm new here and I have a big question.

My finace and I wanted to make our own beer for our wedding to give as favors. Sounds great right, but we have an issue. We both go to school and work, so we have no time to look for supplies, research what kind to make, and actually create something. We found out that there was a microbrewery near us that specializes in letting the customer brew their own beer at the brewery. They let you purchase the ingredients, and let you choose from their receipes, or use your own, then they do all of the work, which as I have already stated, we unfortunately have no time for. But now I found out that the place has closed down
So . . . my question is, are there other places out there that do this, where are they, and are they near Albany, NY or NYC? Or do you guys have any other suggestions other than that we do it ourselves, which would have been our first option too, but with all of the rest of the wedding planning and school, and work, we are swamped! Thanks for all of your help in advance!

Welcome to the board. Not sure about New York but We have one in my area. Do a search for "Brew on Premises" as the are otherwise known as. Or BOP for short.

beeradvocate only lists one BOP for the whole state of NY, which seems a bit weird to me...

That's the exact question I asked about my state. I found that up to two weeks ago, no brewery was involved with BOP. But now we have one brewery and one brewer's supply store that will now BOP. Maybe check into your local suppliers.

If you aren't too far from Rhode Island (couple of hours I think) there is a great one by the submarine base up there. It would be a nice getaway for the two of you anyway. It's a large facility that will have anything you need. A great little town.

If you are referring to Brewer's Heaven in Warwick, it's closed. They closed earlier this year, planned on moving locations and reopening (and might still) but are simply closed for now :(

Cheers!
