Help!!!
My Barleywine that I cooked up yesterday has gone completely insane, it's in constant foamover and I can barely keep up with it!!
What do you do?
It took off much better than I thought it would, it filled the headspace in my 6.5 Gal conical and keeps blowing the top off!
I am making a lame attempt to post a link to a pic, but don't laugh if it doesn't work.

heh that is why my blow off tubes are the size of the hole in my fermenter. If you have a batch that really goes those little tubes are almost worthless. I wouldnt worry about it too much while it is going hard like that. When it is going that hard everything wants to get out, nothing can really get in. Just make sure that as soon as it slows you have it sealed up good.

The O.G. was 1.095...ohhhh yeahhhh!!!!
I cut my tube down to the absolute minimum length, that seemed to help a bit, but the cap on the fermenter still looks like a freaking balloon, I have it held on with a hose clamp...
I guess sacrificing a bung and drilling it out to a larger size would be a really good idea...I just haven't experienced a beer this active yet...

Well, last night around 10:00, it was like someone flipped a switch, the kreusen dropped like a rock within a very short period of time.
I cleaned things up and capped everything normally and it kept on bubblng.
This morning it's going at about 11 seconds.
Is this going to be done really fast because of the super active ferment?
I think I'll take a gravity today just for kicks and see where it's at...
