Anyone know of any - on tap OR bottle - that qualify? 4% or lower ABV, if you please... and DON'T mention any "light" beers! This is SERIOUS BUSINESS.... :D

Ratebeer lists NB's Loft at 4%, and FCB's Doktor and Schwarzbier at 4.1%. I'm not sure how accurate these are.

That's probably about right; but is strength alone what makes a beer mild? If that's the case, then Butt Light counts too. Can we get a judge's ruling on this? ;)

Are you sure you want to do separate threads based on location? Why not keep it all in the same thread?

These location forums are LONELY..... :(

Well you've been an extremely ambitious poster as of late. You've closed the gap considerably.

I know this is and old thread and it has been a while scince I was there, But when I was out visiting my family in Longmont, Left Hand had a decent mild on tap in their tasting room.

I will have to stop by and see if they still have it! Thanks for the tip.

I recommend England. You can go to most any pub and get a mild and it'll be on cask to boot.

ABV% is not the deciding factor in calling something a mild. A mild is a type of English Brown Ale. Take a look at the BJCP's style guidelines (bottom of page 6) for an overview of Milds and why beers like American Light Lagers don't fall into this category:
http://www.bjcp.org/finalstyles/2004BJCPMiniGuidelines.pdf
Also, I posted in another thread, Coopersmith's "Not Brown Ale" appears to be a session-style English Brown Ale - close to a Mild:
http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/rate_results/3174/12309/
And it looks like it's on tap now:

Cheers!

We've been meaning to get back over to Coopersmith's again one of these days... maybe this week!

Princeton has Triumph Brewing and nearby Rutgers / New Brunswicke has Harvest Moon. Threecb can give recommendations. NJ is his stomping grounds.

I wonder if the boys in the band can make a few recommendations, too... but for some of them, they haven't been there in 10 years...

In that region there are several good places. My absolute favorite NJ brewpub that I have been to is the Ship Inn. Well worth the visit. I've been several times.

We'll see if I can talk any of the group into going with me. I may have to re-convert them to good beer!

It is out on the Delaware River. Kind of in the middle of nowhere. But it is worth it.

I just looked it up - we call 'em CREEKS. That's about as big as they get out here unless there's a flood. And the floods are doozies when they hit.

Yep - we get our fair share of natural disasters right here in Ft. Collins. My friend had lived in that trailer park until a month before the flood. I was in town that night, and so much water fell that it began to leak through the roof at the health club in the racquetball courts. Completely flooded out my brother's basement and garage - including his 1967 Shelby Mustang. :(
