I've never been to one of these but have read a lot about them. Usually Michael Jackson and other luminaries are there. Lots of US Belgian Brewers (Tomme Arthur, Victory etc.) It's a tad expensive but for that there are numerous open tastings and events. Belgian Dinners and a Belgian Beer Breakfast (that's insane!) I think we'll have to go!

First, if you were planning on attending, the discounted ticket prices end on November 15.

Second, we have been firming up the list of guest speakers at this years event. Right now we have Tomme Arthur from Pizza Port in Solana Beach, California, Peter Bouckaert, head brewer at the New Belgium Brewing Company in Fort Collins, Colorado, Phil Markowski, head brewer at Southampton Publick House on Long Island, New York and Rob Todd, Founder of Allagash Brewing Company in Portland, Maine.

In addition, our keynote speaker will be Tim Webb and we are also having the owner of La Brasserie a Vapeur in Pipaix, Belgium, Jean-Louis Dits speak.

Spirit of Belgium 2005 will be a 2.5 day event featuring three beer tastings, two conference sessions, and a banquet. In the midst of all of this Belgian beer imbibing, we will also be hosting the Spirit of Belgium homebrew competition.
There will also be an optional Belgian Beer Breakfast.
