Here are some tees that only a brave soul (or one with a good sense of humor and confident in their sexuality) would wear:

I swear, some day, I'm gonna sell all my brewery shirts on Ebay. Today I'm wearing a long sleeve t from the Liberal Cup, a brewpub in Maine.

To correct myself, Our price on these is only $16.

Am I soliciting?

Nah... you're just sitting on a stool, generally talking about beer. And I'm sure you're not the only source for these shirts from sea to shining sea, so I wouldn't worry about it. :D

Now if you start offering a free Guinness glass with every order, you might be crossing the line...

It's more of a chair than a stool, and I'm rarely talking about beer.

I would guess not as I won't question your word about MP. I believe I recall someone asking questions about a MP quote in another thread. It seemed they did not know the material and made reference to just older people knowong it IIRC. Please bear in mind the number of pucks to the head coupled with being the parent of an autistic child. I am lucky if I can remember what I had for yesterday.

Damn, now I will ahve to go search to check myself out.

She is on dangerous ground here. We take our MP VERY seriously here.

I saw a commercial for a new movie based on Peter Sellers life. I'm not sure if it is a made for TV thing or for release in theaters. Anyone know? The Life and Death of Peter Sellers.

noby
11-15-2004, 08:43 AM
It should be on general cinema release.

Read one or two mixed reviews, although Geoffrey Rush, and Charlize Theron are meant to be quite good in it

imdb (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0352520/)

steveh
11-15-2004, 08:46 AM
Over here, across the pond, that will be an HBO movie. Premiers December, 5th? I believe? Looks good, and it got rave reviews at Cannes - especially from Sellers' family.

S.

Sorry Bruno, not playing into your mock pitiful lack of historical knowledge.

Sorry Steve...your "wild stab" was off-target this time. I find (found?) Peter Sellers very entertaining. I guess I'm just lacking the Monty Python gene or something. All my Geek friends live for that s...tuff, and I've tried to watch it and just find it completely stupid.

OTOH, to be fair I've only watched PART of ONE movie, the rest of my experience with MP was the television show.

Now, if you want to start reciting to me the "genius" of Adam Sandler or Jim Carrey (gag me), you'll have another argument on your hands. ;-)

chazwicke
11-15-2004, 09:07 PM
Do NOT equate MP with Sandler and Carrey. The Pythons were brilliant. I may even start a thread to name your favorite one. Mine would be Cleese.

heh, heh, heh...I've found maybe a couple of their movies mildly amusing, but genious? Not even close.

Since we are getting into offbeat here with MP and Sellars...Have you heard of a movie called "Water" (1985)?

It stars Michael Caine, Billy Conally, Dick Shawn, Valerie Perrine, among many others...very odd, but very funny.
