Here is the site for the Maine brewers Festival in Portland. Anyone going? I'm contemplating it. Independence air flys from Dulles to Portland and is very reasonable. Makes a weekend very doable.

OK, here is the site Chaz meant to give you all ;)

I'll be at the BA Belgian Fest that day - strange scheduling both on the same day. Anyway, I've heard the brews are good but the facility (Portland Expo Center) leaves a lot to be desired. Small, cramped, loud, hot - and last year had the tantalizing scent of Alpaca pee, left over from another event in the days prior. Portland is a cool beertown, though, so Alpacas or not, a good time can be had by all.

Cheers!

Here's a few beer geeks that are going:

I know 'JohnnyP' and 'bennybrew'. You can spot JohnnyP easily - he'll be the one with his mouth constantly under the Geary's HSA faucet. OK, he actually does come up for air occasionally....to tell everyone how great HSA is. Did I mention he has an HSA fetish? ;)

And 'bennybrew' works for Atlantic Brewing Co. so I'm not sure if he'll be there working or imbibing - probably both. Goog guy.

Anyway, enjoy it if you go...

Cheers!

OOPS! Forgot to leave the link. I was in Portland 2 weeks ago and manged to squeeze in Gritty's and Sebago. Also, The Liberal Cup and Rocky Bay (for a growler) on other parts of the trip.
