How do I convert an old Box freezer into a fridge? I have an OLD International Harvester freezer that I want to convert into a kegerator. I know I can convert this with a thermostat, but am confused on where to get the thermostat. Can anyone give me a link to one?

Also, does anyone have any pics of their kegerators?

Thanks
Dima

You can always use a temperature controller to keep the temp at refrigerator levels. You plug your freezer into the temp controller and it turns the freezers on and off to keep the temps up.

You can find them at most vendors. I usually use http://www.morebeer.com/ Part number is FE600

If you are good with electronics, you can probably alter the actual thermostat on the freezer, but that's far beyond me.

I recommend the Johnson Controls A419... I just installed one on my buddy's new chest freezer and it works great!!

that's the analog control, not the digital control. most everybody sells the analog unit for the same $50 price... the digital controller, though is a steal at $54, but you'll need to wire it yourself, they don't come prewired like the analog units...

I'm not an electrician and I wired mine by myself with alot of nervous sweat! haha

Just follow the diagram for the wiring.

Mine works like a charm.
