How do you feel after the GABF?

I dont know about you but after the GABF in denver most of my brewer friends had to take a day or two off. Lots of people I know get a cold or sinus problems. Whats up with dat?

Judging from my experience, its complete and total abuse of the body for five straight days. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

heh, i attended one session, was fairly inebriated, then started drinking with a buddy afterwards. next day i was fine...perhaps they're just not used to the denver weather?

Those who travelled to Denver for the GABF and didn't drink water ounce-for-ounce with their beer surely suffered for it. Most people aren't used to the dryness and the altitude here!

When I attend I usually end up with something afterwards. My guess is that it is from being in a building for 3 days with tens of thousands od people carrying all kinds of crap. While it is a big place there is close up personal interaction with the people.

Whenever we bring people who are not from a climate similar to Denver we advise them to stay hydrated by drinking water otherwise you will be hurting. The change in altitude mixed with the alcohol is bad juju.

Worse is if you are a participating brewer chances are you got out there Wednesday so you could go to Wynkoops for the reception followed by Thur, Fri, Sat of drinking from when you got up until whenever. Follow that with either a long drive home or a couped up flight and you will be hurting the following Monday.

I felt great every day after the GBBF. Try London next year instead of Denver.
