alright i'll admit it , i've never even heard of a half and half until i joined here :D im under the impression it's like a b&t but instead of using bass you use harps...right? now i can get my guinness to float on the bass, but it just sinks in to the harps. after several attemps (thinking all the while am im doing something wrong?)
i finally said to my self, "self....we better take this one to the board of better beer drinkers!" so here i am , im using the guinness with the rocket widget...works with bass...why not harps?........ well i think i'll try about 7 or 8 more times and then call it a night....... unless some one helps me befor then......
cheers

Very interesting...is the Pilsner glass one of the taller thinner ones?

I need to get a few different types and try one of those myself!

You used the Guiness bottle version to pour something in a glass?

I noticed a huge difference in taste in doing that. As I recall, their 12oz bottle was made specifically not to be poured and the four packs, on the other hand, were.

I may be the only to notice that...

Anyways, I found it interesting, they actually stay somewhat seperate? That's kind of weird for two polar substances. I heard about the half and half, but figured they mix together and make a whole different taste.

Use the draft style Guiness in cans...they include a trick little nitrogen device to infuse N2 into the beer as you pour it. This nitrogen allows the separation of the two beers to occur. It doesn't work as well with bottled Guiness. Draft Guiness is carbonated with Nitrogen, so the half and half works well at your local establishment.

the bottle im using has the nitro rocket widget in it.
in a pint glass i just poured it like i would a b&t. works great.
now the pilsner glass is much smaller on the bottem then it is on the top, maybe that was the problem? nothing to stand on? and yes its a taller glass. a true pilsner glass (from what i know) is shaped kind of like a funnle, this one i have kinda has an hour glass shape to it, but still a lot thinner at the bottem then the top like a regular pilsner glass.
