A buddy of mine who is into Napoleonic war games sent me this from his board. Has an interesting old sign. Scroll down a bit for the pictures. Looks like from the discussions they plan on taking part of Bavatia in their war game so's they can get some good beer.

It was Napolean that called Berliner Weiss the "Champagne of the north" I believe.

I've been to those gasthauses before.

I lived in Germany for 9 years and traveled to many, many cities just to try their local beers.

I´m just returning from a short trip to Styria BTW where we (of course) also tried out some local brew. Maybe I´ll write a short review tomorrow :-)
