Hi all, just wondering, does everyone use the same sanitizer for all their beer equipment? I'm wondering because i'm looking into Star San. The first few batches I used a powder sanitizer, but that leaves a pretty bad film on things, even with a rinse. But, with Star San, do you guys use that to sanitize your spoons and tubing and all the misc. stuff too? I know its good for cleaning carboys and stuff, but then do you use something else for the misc. cleaning (brew pot, thermometer, siphon, etc). Any ideas or suggestions would be great!

I use mild soap & water on anything pre-boil with a non metallic scratch pad. I use bleach on glass & I use one step for the rest. I'm a rinser.
Never use Oxi-Clean on anything. It won't rinse off and leaves a film that tastes like poo! But it will clean your carpets.
