Every homebrew website and article I read talks about sanitizing your bottles in the dishwasher by using the dry heat cycle. What I want to know is can you sanitize the rest of your equipment in it? I could see the obvious fault in trying to sanitize a carboy this way, but I could certainly fit my plastic buckets in there as well as a few more smaller items. Anyone?

I do my bottles in the dishwasher. I would worry about the plastic items melting, but other things I suppose you could sanitize in the dishwasher. Isn't it just as easy though to plop the in a tub of one-step?

The plastic doesn't melt (many of the really rookie extract kits instruct you to pour boiling water straight into the bucket to mix up a wort). Sounds like a better plan than bottles, with a wet cycle, as the water would really clean the bucket well.
Give it a try, but don't use your favourite bucket, is what I say
