I'm already for my fantasy football draft on Sunday, my oatmeal stout has had about 2 months to mature and I'm really looking forward to bringing a growler to the draft. One of my friends is bringing some Bass Ale so we can make black and tans with it.
Well I go to fill my growler, open the tap and only a little dribble comes out. Frozen beer lines I figure as this has happend to me before. I open up the fridge and check, nope they aren't frozen, I check the Co2 tank and its on. Upon closer inspection I unfog the gauge on my regulator only to see that its on zero.
I was pressure testing some new cornies before I went on vacation and I must of loosened up one of the connectors in doing so. It must have leaked out while I was away.
I had to stop and buy some Guiness on the way to the draft since I had promised to arrive with stout, it was the only stout I could find at the store. I don't mind Guiness but it pales in comparison to my oatmeal stout which had just hit its peak.
I checked the keg and it had no pressure, I'm assuming that this batch of stout is junk since it has been sitting for at least a week without a good seal. But I'm not going to dump it until I try it first, but who knows when I'll get my tank filled. It could be another 2 weeks.
Do you guys think this batch will be junk? Its only a small leak that I assume is where the hose connects to the gas in connector. The keg itself should have a good seal.
