Hi there,
i know we've got several members in the DC area. I'll be down there tomorrow night (sept 8th) for business, and i'm hoping to hit the city for a tasty brew and hopefully catch the US/Panama world cup qualifier.
anyone available?

Ooops! I did not see your post until this morning. Too late to arrange to meet up. I'm certain Meridian will be a good host.

sallad,
I assume you're in meetings, or whatever it is people do when "on business". Give me a bell at work up till 7pm or on the cell.
If you didn't get the pm post here.
K.

Our man ended up actually being in Chantilly. I had to get electrically drunky while watching probalby the worst performance I can recall from out National Team.

MAN!!!! I live in Chantilly! Well Centreville/Chantilly border. I had a dinner engagement but I could have met up after that.
Hope he made it over to Sweetwater Tavern or Old Dominion's pub.

yeah, i ended up in chantilly. i knew it was a little ways out from the district proper, but i also thought i'd be getting in around dinner time. turned out my meeting for work lasted much longer than expected - good for work, not so good for beer - and i didn't even arrive at my hotel until about 9pm. at that point, i was pretty beat, and just picked up a 6er of dominion oak barrel stout at the local grocery store, and flipped through the TV. no soccer on in the hotel, either.. stupid american cable companies.
but thanks for the offer guysI i do usually end up in the DC area a few times a year for work. so, i'll let you know next time i'm down!
an aside on the oak barrel stout - it was quite good, but i've found it before from the handpump from a place in philly.
