Would like to get some opinions on the comparison between Paulaner Hefeweizen vs. Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier.

I personally like the Paulaner a bit more but they are both terrific.

Thanks

They are both terriffic. I've had them both many times, but if I absolutely HAD to pick between them, I'd go with the Paulaner like yourself.
For my money, though, the best German wheat I can get in the bottle is from Schneider & Sohn. They also make one of my favourite beers, a dunkle weiss dopplebock, called Aventinus.

I'd go with the Paulaner myself simply because I've acquired something of a taste for it.

And both of their beers are great with a Municher Breakfast! Especially on their sidewalk cafe on a sunny Autumn morning!

Mmmmmm....that sounds sooo good! Yes, I do like the Paulaner too, my favorite is Erdinger, but mostly out of an old habit...they are both awesome!
I walked into my favorite Irish bar yesterday...they actually started selling the Paulaner on tap...!!!! JOY!

I can meet you there in 8 hours! I'll be the one in the gray Leiderhosen and White Sox cap! ;)

Hmm, Paulaner at an Irish bar - Germans and Irish drinking together sounds like the Chicago Lager Riots all over again - bad combo...I ought to know, I'm German and Irish!

He he...well, as so happens we have our twice a month German Stammtisch at the same Irish bar...!! So far I havenīt seen any riots...
German and Irish, hm...sounds like it can be confusing when choosing what beer to drink...;-)!

Not as confused as I'd be seeing a Stammtisch sign in an Irish pub!

My local has Beamish and Hacker-Pschorr on tap now...it always depends on which way the bi-polar beer mood is swinging! ;)

Ah well, itīs the best bar in town...and thatīs more important than what nationality...
Iīm happy though...being half German, half Swedish...itīs easy to keep priorities straight...I like beer, period,,,;-)!
