Bistro Ipa festival

August 7-8 2004 the Bistro in Hayward CA hels their 7th annual Ipa fest. wonderful as usual. First second and third places went to pizza port and people choice went to Drakes. My personal fave was Oggis Torrey pines.And no Victory Hopdevil was not there not hoppy enough for the California crowds well balanced but almosta pale ale by comparison.

I'm bummed I couldn't make it this year. First one I've missed in quite a while. First one in a few years that I haven't had a beer entered there, too. Next year, I'll definitely be back.

Great choices for the top three, although I'd have a difficult time choosing one over the other. I guess I'd have to go with Carlsbad's version. Drakes is pretty damn good too (never had it on tap though), as is the Torrey Pines. Sounds like some solid brews, can you tell us what other breweries participated?
