"Handcrafted Honu Beer is crisp and flavorful, made with 100% malted barley to quench the island thirst"
I don't know if any of you can get this or if its only available in Hawaii, but from what ive tasted its the best hawaii brew. The problem with that: It says "HONU BREWING CO - PORTLAND, OR" so I think they brew it in Oregon for Hawaii.
Nice and malty, notes of honey and I swear I taste & smell macadamia nuts. I don't know if i'm tripping but it seems to smell very similar to the chocolate covered macadamia nuts I ate a few days ago. Really a smooth beer, unfortunatly its in a clear bottle which exposes it to light so i'm sure there are a few skunked batches. Worth tasting and "A generous portion of every honu beer purchase is donated to the world turtle trust" so you might just be helping to protect hawaiian turtles. Try it if you see it, its one beer that I admit can "quench the island thirst." Peace, HN-
