Looks to be the same seller as the last time (remember? 3 cases of VE for $1000?) Looks like that auction didn't go so well so now he's selling them off in small(er) lots. Still $120 minimum for one bottle of each VE. The whole deal still irks me, but I thought a few might be interested.

Cheers!
p.s. Not trying to piss on anyone's parade, but I've read several posts regarding the 02.02.02 which says it is heading downhill and is becoming a shadow of it's glorious, fresh self.

This guy is selling his too early. He should wait for a few more years or perhaps 12/12. They will be much more valuable at that time. Even if the beer has seriously declined. He should try selling a complete set then.

I don't agree, chaz. The 02 and 03 will not last until 2012. Haven't tried the 04 yet, so I don't know. If things continue along the lines of the first two VEs, you'd be buying a set of beers that have a handful of solid, drinkable ones and a bunch of possibly rancid ones - or at least many that are past their prime. While I personally detest the whole beer re-selling market, it's in this guys best interest to unload the 02s now.
Anyone willing to pay big $$ for a full set just because it is a full set is crazy. You'd never be able (or want) to drink them all so you'd be better served to drink them fresh(er) and refill/recap the bottles for display. My 2 cents...
Cheers!

don't worry about age...it's just a number as they say.
just check here on occasion: http://www.stonebrew.com/epic/
Stone are doing tastings about every 6 months and the word will be out as to "still aging well, leave it" or "drink it NOW!"

Agreed. I applaud Stone for taking the time to update its customers. But I also trust several members of forums like this one to tell me that their bottles are changing...and not for the better. It's all opinion anyway, I guess. But I still highly doubt their Wit or Dubbel is going to last another 3-4 years, let alone 8 (2012).
Cheers!

That's very cool that they do that! They could easily just let everyone try to keep them for the full 12 years, but it's nice that they are looking out for their customers.
