did you know that in north carolina (and four other southern states) the amount of alcohol by volume in any beer sold is restricted by law. in nc, the limit is a paltry 6%, preventing the sale of styles such as barleywines, dopple bocks, and pretty much all high gravity brews. luckily, the fine citizens of the region are working to change this. check out:

In Tennessee anything that's over 6 percent has to be sold at a liquor store, and anything under has to be at a beer store. The two can't coexist in the same establishment. Stupid, huh? You sure you can't go to a different place to buy this stuff?
