Ybor City Brewreys

We will be in the Tampa area next month. I've read that there are some micro brewreys in Ybor City. Has anyone tried them and which are worth going to? Thanks...

There are at least a couple of good brewpubs in the vicinity of Ybor.I know of at least one in Ybor and a couple outside of Ybor,in Tampa!I lived down there for 8 years,but i was into macro at the time,i had some friends that were into good beer that dragged me there a few times.I'm sorry i can't be more specific,but the good beer IS there.Also Yuengling is brewing there now!

I had several of the Ybor brews in bottles in Fla. If my memeory serves me well, they were decent but not exceptional. Most of the Fla Micros I have tasted tended to be on the light side. With the exception of Shipyard. To be fair though I have only really tasted brews froms a couple of good brewpubs and many from places like the Hops chain.

Tampa Bay Brewing Co. gets good reviews, from what I've seen. I've never been, but it's on my list of TB area beers to check out if/when I'm in the area.
