Hey guys. I am completely new to ales but I just put a keg of Sierra Nevada into my kegerator and am wondering if anyone knows the recommended serving temperature range of an ale? Does it matter?
I tried consulting SN, but they have not responded yet.
Thanks for the info,
John
PS, i REALLY like this beer!

You bet it matters! An ale of the stature of SN would be about 45 degrees, IIRC. Not so cold you can't taste it, but not so warm that it's not refreshing. How do I get to your house? :)

head towards sacramento, turn left when you hear the loud music, then turn right when you see cops. stop at the house where the drunk guy is passed out in the drive way. knock 3 times and come on in!
Thanks for your reply. ive had it at 40, ill back it off some and see how it tastes. the only bad thing about putting good beer into the kegerator is that I want to save it just for me! I think a dual tap may be in my future. :)
