I have 7/16 OD by 3/16 ID. I went to my local hardware store and to Lowe's and all I could find was 5/16 OD by 3/16 ID or 7/16 OD by 5/16 ID. I need to lengthen my line. If anyone has any suggestions, please help. I would think the larger outer diameter helps with insulation. Does this really matter?

Thanks

...this is just off the top of my head, but Try Cole-Parmer's website; they are a scientific instrument distributor and have tons of tubing in all sizes...even medical grade stuff.

the importance of beer line is the smooth finish on the inside. You'll probably have to go to your LHBS or to a restaurant supply store. checking a couple of my bookmarks, www.wholesaledraft.com has it for $0.50/ft, www.northernbrewer.com has it for $0.69.ft, www.morebeer.com also has it for $0.50/ft, www.kegworks.com is the expensive end at $0.90/ft...

edit: all the beer line I've seen is thicker, the 7/16" OD is pretty much the standard... not sure where you are in TX, but www.austinhomebrew.com is also at the $0.50/ft rate...

Thanks for your suggestions. I do have a restaurant supply store nearby, I hadn't thought of that. I would rather buy in person than off of the internet so that I do not have wait.
