20 dollars to fill a 5lb tank

I'm in Tallahasse and I've called a couple places and so far the best price is 20 dollars...Does that sound right?

seems a bit high, in Mpls/St.Paul it's $14 for a 5 lb and $16 for a 20 lb...

did you check welding supply, commercial gas (like Oxygen) supply, and fire extinguisher places?

The place was a fire extinguisher place. I will try calling a welding store.

It does seem a little high.Out here in Va it costs $12 to fill a 5lb bottle.

The price may be high but it's not that high. Besides my 5 pound tank seems to last forever so I don't really care about a few bucks that I have to chuck up rarely.

I think beverage factory says that a 5lb will push 5-7 half kegs, is that what you guys are getting?

At least that many, KegWorks is saying 6-8. $20 seems a bit high for a 5# tank, you should find it cheaper at Welding supply store.

But my HB Store charges $14.00 for a swap out.

Yeah, a lot of places just work the swap method. If you know your place is going to do that then you shouldn't worry about getting a new tank, you are going to lose it anyway!

Lucky me! It's less than $8 at Red Comet Fire Extinguisher, 2795 South Raritan, Englewood Colorado, for a 5lb tank.

well lucky me i dont pay for it. but if you live in the NW Ohio area Tom at Beverage Dispensing systems will probably hook you up for like 10.00

that's for a exchange and he only has 20 and 50 lbs tanks. but i;m sure he'd take a 5 or 2.5 for a 20. i know i would.
