I have on occasion purchased or been given 22 or 25.4 oz. bottles of good beer that I do not want to drink immediately, but would prefer to save for a special occasion. This includes a few belgians as well as a few domestic craft brews. I also have a case each of the Stone Vertical Epics from the last two years, which I would be planning on saving until the end of Stone's 10 year Vertical Epic experiment. But I do not have nearly enough refrigeration space to store these. I have been keeping them in the basement where it stays a more constant temperature (and generally slightly cooler) than the rest of the house. Is this a problem? Am I going to be sorely disappointed when I finally get around to opening some of these beers? Are some beers able to be stored unrefrigerated while others are not. Should I just drink them all right now? Any information would be appreciated.

Sounds like you are on the right track. How well a beer cellars or ages depends on the beer and the environment it is kept in. There have been a few threads on this topic. If you do a search with the key word "cellaring" I think you'll find them.
A case each of the Veritcal Epics? Wow! That's impressive. If you are ever interested in trading some of them, send me a message! I have lots of cellared beer in my possession going back 10 years or so.

Gentlemen, please! No pushing in the line! Let's all act civilized! Besides, I was the first one to reply, so I believe I'm at the head of the line! hee hee! :p
(london101, you can probably tell that if you have some '02, you can ask pretty much whatever price you want for it!)
