Hello! Brand new here -- "where have you been all my life"?! Sent this same query to a site run by a guy named Jeff Stanley -- awaiting feedback, then discovered this site. Anyway, would appreciate any advice--Cheers!
I have a Sears Kenmore kegerator. Presently, I have a Heineken keg on tap. Just tapped yesterday, the keg is providing me with the same problem I had with my last one -- a leak at the mating point between keg tap and sankey.
I discovered this with the last keg because beer was gradually leaking out into a small pool at the bottom of the fridge. I dismissed it as no big deal, until my fairly new CO2 tank went empty about 6 mos prematurely . . .
I put in a new keg yesterday -- same problem! I've checked the two rubber gaskets on my sankey. They do not appear to be cracked, eroded, etc. CO2 level was set at 12 psi, and the pours were fine!
I have since shut off the CO2, and disconnected the sankey, hoping to stave off CO2 depletion, at the very least . . . any advice on how to fix this problem is appreciated. Cheers!
