I have a growler that my neighbor had picked up for me at Victory. When he got it they didnt have any jackets for it.
My trip up on friday proved the same thing. No jackets. Said that they hadn't had them for a while.
So the question is...Where can I get one?? I hate taking a growler somewhere only to have it get warm fast.
let me know of any good web sites for which to purchase this.
Thanks

JJ Bittings in Woodbridge has them for sale. Harvest Moon in New Brunswick has one for sale that holds 2 growlers -- double the fun!
I use a cooler that I won at my dart club. It's a soft sided one that is meant for clipping to your golf bag. Since I don't have a golf bag to clip it to, and the main compartment fits a growler perfectly, it works out well.

Until someone finds them you should be able to find a soft side cooler that will work in a pinch. Try Here (http://www.polarbearcoolers.com/)

They don't have on-line ordering, but they're brewpubs that are a little over an hour from Glassboro. Not far off the NJ Turnpike.

Another solution might be to just drink it before it gets too warm. :D

I think the growler jackets/koozies are a novel idea, but honestly don't see how beneficial they are for the beer. Unless you are walking through the deserts of Arizona with your growler in hand, a 15 minute (mile?) car ride should have no ill effects on your brew. If it did, I'd be drinking lots of shitty beer. :D
Hell, I'd probably buy one if I saw it, but wouldn't rely on it to keep my beer cool and fresh. Hope you find one you like.
Cheers!

I'm with Newport on this one. I'm not sure that even over the course of an hour that I would be concerned with the warming. But then again, I never used those foam coolie cups for bottles either. And I do not mind drinking beer that is in the 50-55 degree range either! :D I have seen the jackets that Buck is speaking of and I guess I thought of them as more of a novelty or collectable. The small cooler may be a more viable option.

I actually like mine. I think it works well, and, occasionally, it's more like a couple of hours before I get it in a cooler or fridge. It's not just a novelty, IMHO.
buckrogers71, I think the Bittings ones are around $10, but I could be mistaken. It's right around there, though.
The cooler that I have is similar to THIS ONE (http://www.serendipitygolf-n-stuff.com/golf%20bag%20cooler.html) . The Main compartment fits a growler nicely.

I have that bag that you have. I never thought of using it for that.
I was kidding about the beer getting too warm in a 15 min trip to the otherside of town. But when I get a growler from Victory, its an 1 to 1 1/2 hr trip. I certainly noticed a warmth in the beer.
I had ordered my growler, then we had another beer (about 1/2-1 hr), then the ride home, then over to the neighbor's where we shot the sh!t and the growler sat out. so that was about 3 hrs between fill time and final pour.
Thats why I am looking for one.
Thanks

If I were to guess, I'd say that they're designed to hold the American "jug" style growlers. Although the Shafly one and the golf bag one might hold both.
