I am looking for FOUR tickets to the Great Taste of the Midwest in Madison, WI. I have 2, but need another 4 for friends who didn't get their checks in early enough.
PLEASE - if anyone has any tickets available, contact me ASAP. I would really, REALLY appreciate it.
Cheers,
Paige

I wondered why you hadn't rubbed it in that you were attending again this year, now I know! ;)
Did you contact QCbeerguy, the cat who started this (http://http://www.realbeer.com/discussions/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3772) post (6 threads below this one at the Beer in the Midwest main page, Paige)?
You may also want to check the Beer Advocate Midwest page, Paige - here (http://http://www.beeradvocate.com/forum/list.php?topic_id=17).
Or, you could just go to the fest, hang outside and look pouty and pitiful and someone might feel sorry for you!
Ladies and gentlemen of RealBeer, please don't feel like I've lost my mind and turned into a facetious and obnoxious poster (even those who feel I already am must think I'm being a little harsh at this time) and welcome my cousin Paige to the forum - even if she is just using us for her own gains!
Paige and I have had a long-standing game of verbal ping-pong for years now, what I'm dishing out to her is far more tame than anything you ever want to hear on our board! The good news is, she's a great fan of good beer - really one of us, not to mention she's good people - treat her right, or you answer to me!
Welcome Cuz, I hope you can find your tickets - and I hope they don't cost you...

Thank you both for the warm welcome. As "warm" as Steve gets, that is!
Steve - I'll check out the sources you sited...everything I've come across hasn't led to any tickets yet. But I'm hopeful. Yes, if I can't find any, I'll just have to stand around at the entrance and look all pouty. I actually did that at GTOTM last year to a guy who had some "beer beads" I really wanted, and he gave them to me! Woo hoo! Looking cute and pouty has gotten me far in life! :D
Anyway - what Steve says is true. I am a beer lover, which also led me into a passion for wine (sorry!). But I also love really cool festivals, which is why the GTOTM is so darn cool! Great people, awesome beer, and LOTS of good times. It would be a pity to go without our friends this year.
Thanks for the welcome, Steve - it will be cool to cruise around the site and check things out!
Cheers,
Paige

Okay, clarification - Paige is neither big nor fat, but she does have some tall tales!

Wow - a festival in London? Too cool. I was just over there in April and I LOVED it! Not to mention, I was in Ireland, too. I told Steve that I thought the Guinness tasted much better over there, and he corrected me (which he loves to do!). Must be the atmosphere, he said. I told him I could have ate poop over there and it would have tasted good!
Yes, I'll have to get back over there sometime soon - anyone interested in going to that Fest in London????? ;-)

Just got this in my weekly email from Tyranena Brewing Co.
Great Taste of the Midwest Tickets go on Sale! We have 8 tickets to the Great Taste of the Midwest. For those of you who are out of the loop, the Great Taste of the Midwest is one of the greatest beer festivals in the country... and it is held nearby in Madison at Olin Turville Park. This year's event will be held Saturday, August 14. The festival usually features 100+ breweries with more than 400 beers (we usually bring at least seven). There is usually plenty of sunshine, a couple of roaming bands, a 5,000 other mostly friendly revelers enjoying the vast selection of beers. The price for a ticket is $25 available during Tasting Room hours only -- and must be purchased in person. Limit of 2 tickets per person. We are also taking a bus to the event. Space is not waitlisted... we think we have people that purchased Great Taste/Bus Tickets this spring just to get the Great Taste ticket... so there may be room.
Thought I'd post that here in case anyone is interested and local enough to stop by. Their website is www.tyranena.com (http://www.tyranena.com)
