The in laws, God bless 'em, brought me back a bottle of DFH's Liquor de Malt from the beach. I'll let you know how it is after I ice that bad boy down.

They had it at the Harrisburg Brewfest this weekend, but I couldn't squeeze in close enough to get some!

You have to put it in a brown paper bag to drink it :)

And you have to pour some out for those who couldn't be there with you (i.e. All of use here). :D

I'm heading to the beach Friday. Theakston said he got his right at the DFH brewpub. I'll be looking for it.

Yep. They sell their real liquor there too...I got a bottle of their Vodka for Bloody Mary's (with parents - watching the FA Cup final).

Wasn't too keen on the Liquor de Malt. A little too much corn and not enough of de malt for my taste. Bottle conditioned! smoother than you may expect for a malt liquor, slightly sweet rummy aftertaste with just a hint of diesel fuel. Virtually no hop flavor.
OK Its not awful but I could find no reason to drink this other than the novelty value.

The DFH Honey Rum is yer boy. I'm not a rum fan at all but the Honey Rum is so smooth and delicious I can't help but have a shot. Highly recommended.

It seems like that our get together plans lately are falling through, mostly my fault I will admit, maybe we should plan to meet in Rehobeth!

I'm having a glass of the DFH Liqour De Malt right now. Boy! Shades of yesteryear. That corn flaver takes some getting used to again. I might not have stayed a beer drinker if I had to sup macro swill. Very little hop aroma but you can smell the alcohol. Mild carbonation. Alcohol and sour corn flavor with a hint of sweetness. Sour aftertaste. Not a pleasant beer at all. I'm too old for the 40 culture I guess. The only redeaming quality is the mild carbonation which may be in this bottle only. I brought it home to trade with Hopjack and it leaked a bit in the car on the trip home. So the seal from the black screw on top may not have been the best. I have two more bottles but I'm afraid to offer them for trade as I am afraid they might leak in transit. I know this was done as kind of a joke but this is not DFH's best effort by far.
