While attending the 2004 AHA conference I spoke with the rep from Stone Brewing Company. He tells me that on Monday everyone at the brewery will be climbing aboard a bus to go visit the future site of Stone Brewing, with what will be a greatly expanded brewing capacity. They will be breaking ground somethime in the future.

That's interesting. They just, and I mean not long ago, installed larger everything in their original facility. They aquired a lot more space right in the original building. Now they're moving??? Interesting.

Stone is moving East about 5 miles off the 78 fwy. They are going to build a brand new Facility...

Nice to know. Hopefully they'll have some info at their anniversary. Too bad for me though, I now have to drive farther. Oh well, the price of greatness.

Good news! The more Stone beer available, the better!

Hopefully their distribution range will increase too. I'd love to be able to buy Stone's products here in MN. Until then, I'll just have to keep trading for them! :)

I'm sure that is their goal. I have seen nothing but expansion from them since the beginning. Luckily their product stays excellent. In some cases it has improved - the 2004 Old Guardian and the Imperial Stout are phenomenal ( IMO ). More power to'em. World Ruination.

Just returned from San Diego-I wish I had a suitcase large nough to take back all of Stone that I wanted. Picked up 2004 Imperial Stout.

Hey Partner,

I have not tried it yet-the Girlfirend has put me on a diet since we hit 6 brewpubs and every Taco Stand around Carlsbad and Oceanside (she is from Oceanside-so we had too :)) in 10 days.

I may hold onto this bomber bottle for awhile-we went to see the Padres in the new ball park and they had Stone Pale Ale on tap-excellent.

If in the area check out Pizza Port in Carlsbad-my favorite-they have a double IPD to die for.

IPD? If it was the IPA it's Franks. Awesome stuff. My watering hole in Redondo has it on tap now. It's been saving me MANY miles of driving to drink my favorite brew.:D

Well the expansion explains why they have a job posted on probrewer. Can't wait for more Stone, just recently had the ruination and damn is that a great beer.

As far as Pizza Port goes, they do really have some great beers there. Had the IPA and Barley Wine a few years back. Uhhmmm Beer!

Later,
Billy
