Just a post to touch base with the Alberta crew.

I've been brewing beer, all grain, here in Alberta since 2000 and in other places before that.

I've got some questions and a few answers for those looking and providing solutions in Alberta.

Cheers,

Rob

P.S
Latest batch in the fermentor is a Alberta Munich Ale made with Alberta grown 2 Row, 1.5 lb Alberta Wheat Malt, 1 lb Munich Malt Fuggles and Cascade Hops and Wye Yeast Special London yeast. I'm calling it Hesitation Brew because it is taking longer than I want

Hey Chopper

Nice to see some more Albertans on the board. I know there's at least one other, Bigmf.

Where are you getting your malts from?

Cheers

Jughead;

After a little research I found that Westcan Malting just outside of Red Deer in Alix Alberta offers 25KG bags of Malt at $15 a bag. The only problem is getting, cheaply. They will ship I believe if required.

If you need the Phone # post a request.

Cheers,

Rob

Thanks Rob! I found them on the web.

I've been getting mine shipped from Saskatoon, so I think I'll have to look into this.

Jughead;

Who was your supplier in Saskatoon? What type of malt? Westcan provides White Wheat Malt also which is great for the summer wheat brews.
