Anyone else gonna be there? I'll be at the first session.

This is probably going to come off like sacrilege, but I don't care for Carol's beers. I've gotten so many bad bottles and even the good stuff I've had has been average that I can't get too enthused about this. It's certainly possible I've just had bad luck and I'm willing to listen to "pro" arguments.

It is just an interesting mix of brewers that is just far away enough to not be the same old ones that we see locally time and time again. As for Carol's beers.....I agree they are just ok. But it is really the others breweries from whom I want to sample. This fest is, after all, The place where I learned about the Ship Inn brewpub years ago and it features many PA, NJ and NY brewers that we do not usually get locally. The Black Angus is a very good restraunt (they have some mighty fine oysters that the get from VA) and Don't forget Jerry Bailey cut his brewing teeth at Stoudts.

I've never had Stoudt's beers fresh from the pub - that being as it may, I've had some obviously dated beers that I've bought in Ohio and Kentucky in years past. I'll say this: I did have what must have been a fresh Stoudt Weizen a few years ago, and it was excellent. Also, their Pale Ale label gets my vote for one of the best labels in the U.S. Otherwise, I'll reserve judgment until I get to Adamstown someday.

I've got a bottle of Stoudt's Scotch Ale in my fridge that I'm looking forward to.

Can't go. Unfortunately, I have this affliction called "a job". It's a horrible thing, but I have to do it to support my habit (and my family). I do like Stoudt's though. My fav is Blonde Double Mai Bock or Blonde Honey Double Bock or what =ever they are calling these days. Actually, I have never really been that disappointed in Stoudt's. Their is one brewery that I have not been disappointed in at all... Weyerbacher. Great stuff! The Rasberry Imperial Stout is awsome! I have been disappointed, yet.
