Yet another silly question...
I... um... forgot about a corny keg full of oxy-clean for a couple of weeks. Now the inside is all rough and barnacle-like. Is there any way to fix that or have I ruined a keg?

I don't think you ruined it but you will have to scrub & rinse a few times. I mentioned my Dollar Store toilet bowl brush somewhere... 2 for $1. Maybe take it to a carwash and give it a power rinse or outside with the garden hose and scrub the fire out of it. Then maybe do another soak with PBW or similar and a good wiping out. I tried vinegar, hot & cold rinse but had to physically rub the film off. Then go get that Auto-Siphon from the neighbors yard and soak it in there too! After you think it is clean & dried, check again for a dried powdery film before using it. It should be fine. Just don't throw it in your neighbors yard! My Bad.

Um... Is it only a film or is it white and the real rough feal of Oxidized Aluminum?

does the stuff come off?
rig a stir stick with a green scrubber pad and go get that keg back.
Fill the keg with a light mixture of Phosphoric acid and water (pour water first) and leave it in the keg a couple of days. No scrubbing needed.

Is that the same phosphoric acid solution that I use to adjust my pH, or do I need something stronger?
:)

The solution I use is just a little more diluted than the mixture used to etch concrete. I'm lazy and I don't like to scrub.
