Ive been wanting to try this one for awhile. It pours amber, with little head. Aroma is a pleasing blend of hop spiciness with a hint of fruit. However, I didn't really detect any apricot flavor in the taste. Rather, it's a very well-hopped and quite tasty IPA - just like the 60 minute.

A good IPA, but if you're looking for an apricot punch, I doubt you'll be satisfied, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Thanks for that review. While I do like most Dogfish Head beers I tend to shy away from some of the more extreme fringe stuff that they make. I have passed this on up several times. Sounds like it might be worth a try.

Definitely worth a try. A fine, malty IPA in it's own right. Better than 60 Minute, imo. And not overpowered with fruit like Magic Hat #9. Subtlety is good sometimes.

Cheers!

IMHO subtlety is USUALLY good. Better than the 60 minute is a very good recomendation. I'll try it.

It's definitely worth a try. I still like 60 Min better, but the subtle apricot is nice. The way a fruit beer should be.

I really like this beer, or should say really liked. It used to have much more of the flavor of apricot, not as much as the Magic Hat #9, the Aprihop being a bit drier, but it was far more present. It seems the new brewer at DFH head has toned down some of the beers, most notably this one. It's still a decent beer but it has been better IMHO. Of the new beers from DFH the Au Courrant is the one that makes the most of the flavor of the fruit.

Aprihop is a very tasty beer.It was a lot better than i expected it to be as i could not detect much apricot. We had samples at the brewery and i wound up buying a couple of 4 packs.I still prefer the 60 minute though.

I have tried both the Aprihop and the 60 Minute. I like both very much but also had a hard time detecting the apricots in the brew. Either way I would heartily recommend this!
