I'm about to keg my IPA. What I want to do is fill the keg with a little Co2. Then hook my auto siphon to a hose that goes to the liquid out side of the keg. Will this work? I figured the Co2 at pretty much no pressure would blanket the beer from air. And if it goes in the liquid out connection of the keg, it would run down the take up tube, so no splashing. Will it go backwards through the pin lock connection to the keg with only the pressure of gravity?
p.s. would it help to take the spring out of the connector or modify it in any way?

I don't know much about Corny Kegs, but I do know that liquid will always seek it's own level. As long as you have a free flowing opening (can you blow through it freely?) and the supply is above the level of the keg, it will fill up.

newsflash: I went and put it on another keg, and yes, you can blow through it. So I guess the plan is made!
Thanks paul84043,
