New Holland Brewing Co., LLC - Holland, Michigan, USA. 12 oz. bottle.
The label reads: Ale brewed with spices, orange infused, and "Art in fermented form."
Clear to slightly hazy gold color with a thin white head that quickly settles to a collar around the glass. Definite yeast sediment in the bottle bottom - might even be cultivated by a savvy home-brewer.
Tangy corriander and faint orange nose with wheat and bready malt back.
Citrus and corriander tanginess in initial mouthful with wheat malt back, some acidity. Hop bitterness apparent but might also be orange peel.
Light body, crisp mouth feel with some light syrupiness present.
Crisp, refreshing brew for Summer. Nice to style, if not a little lacking in character.
Anyone know if this is the Wit recipe that New Holland purchased from Pierre Cellis?
