Has anyone seen this show on the Fine Living cable channel?

The host has the world's best job...travelling 'round the world sampling the best liquor each destination has to offer - Scotland for single malt, Champagne for...duh, Mexico for Tequila, Ontario for icewine...gin, vodka, Bourbon, aquavie, ouzo, sake...you name it, he drinks it.

In the last episode I saw, he was in Belgium drinking beer. He visited Orval, Hoegaarden, and a very small new brewery (but using hundred and fifty year old equipment).

He not only got to drink the stuff fresh from the tap, but actually help make it.
The breweries were unreal...open fermenters to catch the wild yeast, bubbling and boiling in full fermentation...cellars of aging casks covered with dust and cobwebs...an amazing site compared to the "sterile" breweries of this country.

I'm drinking an Orval as I type this... a spiritual experience indeed!

The show on ouzo in Greece was good, too.

After watching the show about Bourbon in Kentucky, I altered my sweet potato recipe to include bourbon. yum.

That show is so cool; one more time I've wondered : why didn't I think of that?

Whenever I make sweet potato pecan pie, I make a topping with whipped cream, sugar, Bourbon and Grand Marnier...superb!!

He has some really good shows. I like that he hits the big producers as well as the small ones. When he was doing the show on Belgian beers he hit up a small farmhouse brewer who was using hand cranked equipment that was like 150 years old.
