What libation are you celebrating this Mexican victory over the French with? Mexican beer? Tequila? if so What specifically. I have a big bottle of Casta and several different Tequilas. Not sure what I'm having yet.

Not open this whole can of worms, but I'll be celebrating the US's recent victory over Mexico in Futbol with some Fordham Helles!

Me either. The wife and I are going out to one of the local watering holes tonight, so I guess I will have to see what libations I do order.

I have some Fordham brews in my fridge down at the beach and my wife is going down there while I am in London. She is hosting some of the inlaws. I wonder if the beers will be there when I get back?

Down here we opened up a bottle of Don Julio Anejo for a couple of toasts along with a few Negra Modellos. It's all about the mood.

I celebrated by writing a final paper...yay! But at least I finished it off with a celebratory Flying Dog Hound Dog Barleywine Style Ale (Which I don't find nearly as good as the Bigfoot).

I stopped at the local taquerita last night for a combo plate of a ground beef burrito, chicken taco, and tamale (with beans and rice on the side, of course), and had a $2 pint (U.S.) of Dos Equis Amber while waiting for the carry out. Good way to end the day.

S.

BTW - aren't they supposed to hide Corona's lack of flavor with a lime? :P

Picked up a sixer of Dos Equis Amber on the way home last night. Made some fajitas, and had some ambers.

Unfortunately, I had to work. But when I got home, had a nice big glass of homebrew (honey blond).

I stopped at my local paint shop and picked up some Casta Morena. Not a bad choice...

I was drinking Full Sail Rip Curl, because frankly I don't know any mexican beers that excite me, and I could care less about some mexican victory.

Holidays are just excuses to drink, and Americans like to have excuses to drink so we celebrate the holidays of other countries. But personally the only excuse I need to drink is to have beer around the house. :) Peace, HN-

I agree with you wholeheartedly HN. Cinco de Mayo is just another stupid American excuse to promote irresponsible, alcohol-induced behavior on a large scale. A small area of Cincinnati, by the University of Cincinnati's campus, had a bad riot there last year on this "holiday".

I'm with you on that one, there are a couple of passable ones (Negro Modelo isn't too bad)...Old Chicago does a Cinco De Mayo mini-tour. Something like 8 or 10 Mexican beers....probably my least favorite mini tour they do...

i like it better then spam adams, the millena is really good imo.
i'd take it over a snpa, but only cuz i burnt myself out on snpa back in 98' they have a dark which is malty good and the hef is okay, but i didn't care for the pale.
