Just got this months Brewing News and it says that there is going to be a new brewery in the Fort Worth area.... Rahr&Sons Brewing Company. Also lists that Jason Courtney, former head brewer at Hub City, will be taking over the brewing job there....Dont know about the rest of you, but that sounds pretty good to me. I was sad to hear that the Fuzzy Brewer was gone....Anyone heard anything else about this?

Yeah, a friend of mine has told me the same thing. I heard they were also going to have a brewpub there, dont know for sure though. At any rate, I plan on making a trip there. Heard it was opening this summer?

Old Thread, but I just joined the forum and thought I would reply.
I've been to the brewery twice now, and the beers they have (Red and Blonde) are both very good. I like the Red alot, one of the best reds i've had.

Welcome Chris! You just found the friendliest beer site on the web!
Only two beers? That seems odd...

Welcome aboard Chris. My wife and I frequent the Humperdinks in your town as often as possible.... I heard from another friend that the red was very drinkable. I think they are lager brewers only over at Rahr & Sons. More beers to come per the website.

Thanks for the greetings.
Yep just two beers for now. They are supposed to be working on a stout that will come out this winter from what I remember. Its going to be called "ugly pug". When he gave us the tour, he said they will be adding new beers. I think he mentioned an IPA, Heffeweizen, and a bock that I can remember. Anybody in the area should definitely try and make it out there. My friend from the navy is in this week and we are going this saturday (11/6) for the free tasting.

There are some MASH quotes that will never leave my feeble brain... could you imagine a MASH-based brewpub? You'd have Hawkeye Hefeweizen, Henry Blake Bock, Col. Potter Pale Ale, Hot Lips Helles, Winchester Wit, Post-Op Porter, Swamp Stout, and Maj. Burns' Roasted Root Beer! What else? :)
