I'm going on a field trip to Eau Claire in a couple weeks. I did a search on google for brew pubs in the area and only found one. I think it was called Northwoods or something like that. Anyone been there? Does anybody know of any other in the area. (Within 45 minutes or so)

Sounds like the Leinie's Northwood's Lodge, which really isn't a brew-pub, but a quick internet check and I see it's an establishment in and of itself. I have some co-workers who may have stopped at this joint before, I'll ask 'em about it when I see them.
Just down 94 from Eau Claire, in Black River Falls, is Pioneer Brewing. They've brought decent beer to an annual beerfest I frequent. http://www.cuttingedge.net/~pioneer/

Hmm...appears Pioneer may be closed, though I'm seeing conflicting reports.

Oh yeah, and while in Black River Falls, don't forget to stop by The Body Shop ;)

Not a brewpub, but there is a great micro-brewery in Dallas (near Rice Lake & Chetek), Viking Brewing. It was a Sunday so the brewery was closed, it is in a cool looking kinda rundown brick building in a downtown of about 6 or 7 other structures. Stopped at the Fiddler's Inn across the street from the brewrey and they had all the Viking stuff available in bottles and about 3 or 4 on tap. All the Viking stuff is really great. Only drawbacks were a loud cd-juke playing dirtball music. Also had the misfortune to witness one of the locals buy a 6 pack of Bud Light to go.
