Where's Meridian?

It's Friday, I've grown expectant of a fine review of the latest, freshest cask beer to be served in the Nation's Capital on Thursday evenings.

I hope it wasn't too good a tasting last night!

Yes, I too enjoy his prose although it is sometimes tempered with a tinge of jealousy. I actually tried to make it to the Reef a couple of Thurdays ago but missed it by a couple of blocks. One of these days I'll make it down.

I didn't realize anyone actually read my drunken ramblings...er....I meant finely crafted prose.

I've had friends from England visiting, which put me a little bit behind at work, which ment I didn't leave till near 11pm last night. Couple this with the fact that Brian didn't give me a call, I just decided to go home and catch up on some much needed sleep (do the English just not sleep at all, sure seems like it). I could've (should've) gone around the corner just to check it out but I was bushed (not like the beer or the president) and just couldn't face a packed Reef.

I should've taken some notes up in New Yawk, but it was a lads weekend so while I did drink lots of good beer my recollections for the purposes of review would not quite be up to snuff e.g.:

bar at Port Authority (pre game)....necked a Warstiner, but thought the better of it and switched to Guinness for round 2.

(Game Time - nothing drinkable at all at stadium. Nothing)

man this was fucking good. sure tasted good with hops.....and...uh...malt. Man it was good..............had 4.

Blind Tiger
had some Brooklyn beers (the wheat).....tasty..............had some Avery beer......strong.....then had another beer but someone ordred it for me...it was good too. Had a Randallized 90 minute.

random Irish bar.........introduced to the Cider Armadillo (this should give you an indication of the type of weekend this was). The Cider Armadillo consists of dry cider, which you take a big hit off of, and then pour a shot of sherry into. My friend from Exeter swears by this one. Me, I swore at it. Ok, to be fair it didn't taste bad, but at 3am I could've probably drank swamp water and it wouldn't have tasted bad.

(Lather, rinse, repeat)

You get the idea.

I am definitely getting too old for this stuff.
