Clark's once again has a buyer well versed in beer. He has worked for a big distributor. He is also well traveled and knows beers from different parts of the world. So the lineup of taps at Clark's is very good. If you are in the Syracuse area, don't miss having a pint there.

Have they suffered from poor tap selection lately? It's been close to 2 years since I've been that way where I had the time to stop in Armory Square, and last time there I was drinking 3 Floyd's Alpha King on tap.

There are some of us who think his selection would roller coaster. There usally was a very good beer or two on tap but the rest of the lineup would not be strong.

Of course that is just the opinion of a small group of people I know and perhaps we are just spoiled.

No matter as there is good beer at Clark's.

Which would you usually choose, Clark's or Blue Tusk? Or another place?

Always good to be prepared for my next visit!

99%of the time I visit both since they are so close together. One nice thing about the Tusk is they generally have a cask conditioned ale from Middle Ages, 2 miles away, on tap.

There is now a Brit style pub called Bull and Bear or something like that on the outer limits of the Square near MacGregors which has a big line up of taps also. I have yet to patronize the new pub yet, have heard good things though.

If you can stand smoke, Awful Als Cigar bar has good beers and a huge selection of scotch, single and double malts of course. That too is walking distance from Clarks and The Blue Tusk.
