Next Monday (4/19) will be a beer tasting with Michael Jackson at Lucky Baldwin's. I think it is 30 bucks. In addition to the samplings, you apparently also get a Michael Jackson DVD.
I just made my reservation. Anyone else plan on going?

Man! That was so damn worth it.
Sweet Ass Sweet.
We got:
Casta Unica with a salmon appetizer,
Pizza Port SPF-8 with seafood stew,
Pizza Port Cuvee De Tomme with Flemmish Stew,
Grottenenbier (by Pierre Celis) with Rabbit Stew,
Malheur Black Chocolate with chocolate mousse.
Plus, Mr. Jackson was a pretty funny dude, and it was an all around great experience. Considerring I also got a DVD, and I got him to sign one of his books, it was WAY MORE than worth the 30 bucks.
Best beer event I've ever been to.
The beer/food pairings were amazing, and it was just an all around good time. I should have posted as soona s I got home, but I had to continue the great beer night with a Westvleteren 12, Rodenbach Grand Cru, Gouden Carolus Grand Cru of the Emperor 2003, and Great Lakes Burning River Pale Ale. I Know, the last one doesn't really fit with the rest, but my buddy really wanted to ty it.
I'm off to bed. I will sleep very well tonight.

Great beer selection! I guess it was to push for his new rare beer club - most of these beers are on the list.
I've managed to try all on that list except the new one from Casta. The Pizza Port SPF-8 is my favourite new try for 2004. Tomme's beers are awesome - I wish he would move to the East coast!

Don't panic - Tomme is not going anywhere !! before I get named as starting a rumour. That was me just wishing he would move east - preferably to DC. I know we'll never get him away from the West Coast surf.
